About Me
Hi, I’m Patrina Nichole Joy
I am a storyteller at heart, a creator by nature, and a woman who has been writing stories in journals, notebooks, and the margins of my life for as long as I can remember.
I write stories for children because every child deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and safe in who God made them to be.
I’ve always loved words.
I’ve always loved imagination.
And I’ve always loved creating little worlds where children could feel safe, inspired, and seen.
I’ve been a writer my whole life, but publishing my first book is the beginning of a brand-new chapter — one that I’ve been preparing for without even realizing it.
And trust me… there is so much more on the way.

I write from a very honest place — from my own journey of learning how to love myself and from the healing God gently walked me into.
As a young girl, I struggled deeply with how I saw myself. I didn’t like my features, my smile, or the things that made me unique. I used to tuck my lips in, avoid pictures, and wish I could trade myself in for someone “better.”
I didn’t know then that God had already called me beautiful, accepted, and wonderfully made.
Now, when I write, I’m speaking to that younger version of me —the girl who didn’t feel enough, who didn’t feel seen, and who didn’t know her worth.
Every book I create is my way of reminding her — and every child who needs to hear it — that they are loved, they belong, and they were made on purpose.
