A Lifelong Storyteller Becoming a World-Builder

Even before I ever thought about “being an author,” I was already writing toward this moment. As a young girl, I would make up stories, create imaginary adventures, and fill pages with characters who felt real to me. That part of me never went away — it just grew up with me.

Once I became a mother, everything shifted.
My children — their personalities, their questions, their humor, their love — awakened something inside me. They showed me that the stories I had been carrying since childhood weren’t just for me anymore.

They were meant to be shared.

That is how the Wonderfully Made Universe began — not as a brand or a plan, but as a natural extension of who I’ve always been:
a woman who sees stories everywhere, especially in the lives of the people she loves.

Publishing my first book is the doorway into a world I’ve been building quietly for years — one filled with family, faith, identity, creativity, and the beauty of growing up as a Black or Brown child in a world that doesn’t always speak to your worth.

Now that the door is open, I am ready to walk through it fully… and bring many more stories with me.

Writing With Purpose, Love, and Faith

My writing is shaped by:

• motherhood

• real moments

• joy and struggle

• conversations with my kids

• and the unshakable truth that God makes no mistakes

I want children — especially Black and Brown children — to feel seen in every page I write. I want them to grow up hearing stories that honor their identity, their culture, their families, and their dreams.

I also want them to know that God has a purpose for their lives, and that the things that make them different are the things that make them wonderful.

My books are my way of speaking life into children everywhere.

Every story I write carries this message:

You are loved.
You belong.
You matter.
And you were wonderfully made on purpose.

Outside the Pages

When I’m not writing or dreaming up new story ideas, I’m:

• designing something creative

• having heartfelt talks with my kids

• planning the next part of the Wonderfully Made Universe

• working through ideas for upcoming books

• or simply thanking God for trusting me with these stories

 

Everything I create — whether it’s a book, a coloring page, a

devotional, or a whole story universe — connects back to one

calling: to uplift, empower, and remind others of who they are in God.
